BRICE
VICK
POP
STARZ, Artistic Director
Escorting
celebrity recording artists to their peak and creating a
vision that is unattainable by conformists, choreographer
Brice D. Vick sinks his teeth into challenge and knows nothing
but perfection. All of this is evident once he is seen in
action.
His eclectic style is one that is readily admired and is
rapidly becoming the standard for artists seeking to gain
that critical edge while performing. Brice does not compare
himself to anyone; he knows his craft is a gift. Coupled
with confidence and humbleness, he stands outs amongst the
best in his field.
“A lot professional choreographers go with what’s
hot or the latest. I incorporate what’s hot, the feeling,
the rhythm and the style of the artist. It is a pot of soup.
Once you have those ingredients it will be different-like
none other.”
Brice
hurdled into the spotlight after choreographing a tantalizing
number for Ashanti’s hit single, “Only You.”
Silencing the critics forever, Vick delivers a highly acclaimed
combination for his comrade and student Ashanti, casting
a new dawn on the songstress who critics said, “could
not dance.”
“Working
with my personal friend Ashanti has been a blessing. Much
to his credit, Brice has created an artistic outlet for
himself and his dancers playing the dual role of dancer
and choreographer with “Ashanti” and many other
artists such as, R. Kelly, Christina Aguilera, Rah Diggah,
Lenny Kravitz, Destiny's Child, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy,
Sticky Fingaz, and Lauren Hill, He also specializes in grooming
and polishing the movement of new recording artists and
he has his fair share of choreographing national commercials
under his belt.
As the in-house choreographer for The Inc. Records, he has
choreographed Ashanti's stage shows, television appearances
and award shows including the Lady of Soul, Soul Train Music
Awards, The American Music Awards, The BET Music Awards
and the MOBO Awards in London, as well as performances on
MTV, ESPN, ABC, NBC and British television. He also choreographed
the Ja Rule and Bobby Brown video Thug Lovin'. Just recently
Brice choreographed the hot new rapper Remi Martin's video
"Whateva".
Brice
has also been featured in Dance Teacher Magazine, Dance
Spirit Magazine where his work was said to be "hot
and exciting." He was also featured on Inter-life Times
Intimate Portrait on his ideas on choreography.
“I would say that I am humble down to earth professional
with a strong belief in God. I am very outspoken and when
it comes to my career I am a work horse. I would rather
work hard than relax. "I want to work for what I believe
in". Brice's hard work has paved the way to many successes,
the highly sought after choreographer sees working hard
as no option, and is excited to be the Artistic Director
for the best Hip Hop/Pop dancers in the country . . . .
